Who can be a member of AMNG? To be a Life
Member or Annual Member you have to be in the National Guard or be retired
from the National Guard.
If I’ve never been in the National Guard, Can I
still join? Yes, as an Associate Member.
As an Associate Member, do I have the same privileges
and rights as other members? No. As an Associate or Annual
member, you do not have voting rights; cannot serve on committees or cannot
be elected as an officer of the Association.
What does membership cost? Annual or
Associate membership is $20.00 per year. Life Membership is a one-time cost
of $150.00.
Can I join anytime during the year?
Yes, but Membership is due October of each year. So if you join in July, you
are joining for the current year and you would have another membership
payment due in October for the upcoming year.
What meetings does the Association have?
There is an annual meeting of members each October held at Camp Robinson in
North Little Rock, Arkansas. This meeting is open to all members. During
this meeting, officers are elected for the upcoming year. The Executive
Committee meets quarterly. This is a closed meeting, open only to members of
the Executive Committee.
Who makes up the Executive Committee?
The President, President Pro-Tem, Secretary, Treasurer and Member-At Large.
This is the governing body of the Association.
How does the Association recognize individuals for
their dedication and contributions to marksmanship? Three
people are inducted into the "Shooter’s Hall of Fame" each year at the
Annual meeting.
How are people considered for the
Shooter's Hall of Fame? Anyone can submit the application
(available for download from our web-site), it must be filled out and mailed
to AMNG along with supporting documentation. The requirements are listed on
this website.
